Yahoo Movies: New Moon Tickets Selling Out Already

Now, this isn't very surprising but according to Yahoo! movies tickets are selling out fast. Check it.



Want to be in the audience of the very first midnight screenings of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon“? You may have already missed your chance.

Advance tickets for the much-anticipated sequel went on sale a week ago, and shows are already selling out. Even the websites where early tickets can be purchased are getting surprised by the rush of sales. Joel Cohen, Executive Vice President of MovieTickets.com said, “We expected ‘New Moon’ to be hugely popular when tickets went on sale… but seeing sellouts nine weeks prior to its release is unheard of.” According to their data, 26% of sales at MovieTickets.com were for “New Moon,” with 17 shows already sold out completely. Fandango.com also reported that “New Moon” accounted for a higher percentage of ticket sales than any movie that opened last Friday.

Twilight Sage: New Moon Tickets Already Sold Out in 50 Theaters

Blood red continues turning into box office gold, as online merchants are reporting that New Moon, the highly-anticipated sequel to Twilight, has already sold out at over fifty theaters more than two months before the film's theatrical release date.

New Moon has garnered more than half (57 percent) of online ticket seller Fandango's recent ticket sales. The film also fared well in a recent MovieTickets poll, as a third of the voters said they wanted to see the Robert Pattinson flick above all others this holiday season.
