New info on Italy Premiere of New Moon

There will not be a London Premiere this year for new moon but, just like last year, we will be able to see 20 minutes of the second chapter of the twilight saga at the Rome cinema festival that will take place in Rome from 15 to 23 october.

Piera Detassis, the main director of the festival already said to not hope for having Rob e Kristen there but Charlie Bewley, from facebook, told us he will be there.

We don't know yet when exactly New Moon will be previewed though. Keep checking around!

Coincidence or not? New Moon Premiering on the day of a New Moon..

The Twilight Examiner (aka Amanda Bell) has an interesting article in regards to the New Moon premiere date and the Eclipse release date -

On November 16th, the stars of The Twilight Saga: New Moon will line up in Los Angeles for the official premiere of the film.

The heavens, it seems, will also be lining up on that date as well. One Twitterer made an interesting connection between the date of New Moon’s offiical premiere and the lunar calendar.

November 16th will also be the date of a legitimate new moon according to the lunar phase calendar.

Moving right along, it seems that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse could be subject to a similar coincidence. The Twitterer’s research proves correct in that on June 26th (four days before the release of Eclipse), a partial lunar eclipse will occur (with the next eclipse, a total eclipse, not due until December 21, 2010). If, like with New Moon’s premiere, Eclipse’s premiere takes place four days before the film’s release, Eclipse will premiere during an eclipse, and New Moon will have premiered during a new moon.

Kristen Stewart & Taylor Lautner To Attend New Moon Premiere At Knoxville

Two of Hollywood’s brightest new stars are coming to Knoxville to debut one of the biggest movies of the year.

Regal Entertainment Group announced on Monday that actors Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will attend the Tennessee Benefit Screening of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”.

The premiere will be held at Regal Cinemas Pinnacle Stadium 18 in Turkey Creek on Tuesday, Nov. 17, three days before the movie opens in theaters. Proceeds from the advance screening will benefit Variety- The Children’s Charity of Eastern Tennessee.

A limited number of tickets will be available to the public. A drawing will be held for the opportunity to buy two general admission tickets for $100 each. Registration for the drawing is scheduled from Oct. 9-11 during regular business hours at Regal Cinemas in Knoxville. No purchase is necessary to sign up. However, contestants must be 18 or older, and only one entry per person will be accepted. Complete rules for the drawing will be available at participating theatres.

Winners will be chosen by Nov. 3 and notified by phone. Tickets cannot be resold. At the time of purchase, both guest names will be registered. For entry to the event, valid identification must be shown.

Benefit screening guests will enjoy a catered reception at the Pinnacle. The reception will be held before Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner greet the crowd. After the red carpet reception, attendees will have the honor of being some of the first moviegoers to view “New Moon”.

The movie is the second installment in the Twilight saga. It’s based on Stephenie Meyers’ hugely popular book series about the love story between a vampire and teenage girl.

Stewart plays Bella Swan who is devastated by the departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). However, she is rekindled by her growing friendship with Jacob Black, played by Lautner.

The movie will be released on Nov. 20 in theatres nationwide.

New Moon LA Premiere Time & Location is Announced!

OMG! that's freaking awesome! Makes me even more exited! so the LA premiere of New Moon is going to be on Monday, Nov 16th 2009 At Mann Village Theater and Bruin Theater in Westwood CA.
